‘So You Think You Can Dance’ to host auditions for 13th Season

  • February 4, 2016

Emmy Award-winning So You Think You Can Dance is back for another season but this time, Fox officials are changing up the competition in big ways! Instead of adult dancers age 18 and older being invited to compete, youth dancers age 8-13 are the focus.

According to Fox, “This season, dancers between the ages of 8-13, who are skilled in various dance styles, such as contemporary, tap, hip-hop, ballroom, animation or breaking, will be paired up with All-Stars to compete for the title of America’s Favorite Dancer.”

So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation will premiere on Fox on Monday, May 30.

Young contenders will have a shot at showing the judges they have what it takes to be America’s Favorite Dancer, when auditions start on Saturday, Febraury 27 at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. Auditions will also come to Chicago on Friday, March 11 and New York on Friday, March 18.

Online registration, a new tool to the competition, is now open. It ends Tuesday, March 1.
