Houston Ballet presents 47th Season

Houston Ballet will open its 2016-2017 Season on September 8-18, 2016, with a mixed bill featuring works by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins and William Forsythe.
At the end of January 2016, Artistic Director Stanton Welch announced that the coming season will present the company in various new works by some of the most noted and exciting choreographers of our time, including Jiří Kylián, Justin Peck and David Bintley.
In addition, Welch revealed that two full-length ballets have made it into the season, The Tempest and La Bayadère. Welch’s new production of The Nutcracker, premiering in November 2016, will also be a highlight.
