Talia Fidra was born in Sydney in 2001 and began Ballet lessons at age 4 when her family relocated to the Gold Coast Queensland.
The Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus has been a key component of her Ballet training attending classes from pre-primary to Adv. 1 with an Exam average of 96%.
Talia currently trains in ballet & contemporary as a full time student, under Janine McGrath at Classical Coaching Australia where she is also coached by Kate Sim, Jan Moore, Louise Deleur and Marie-Claire D’Lyse. Talia is also a current invitee of the Australian Ballet School ITP, a JEP level 3 at Queensland Ballet and Soloist company member of The Brisbane City Youth Ballet.
Recent Award highlights include The RAD National Adv.1 Bursary, awarded by Olivia Bell & Madeliene Eastoe, The Marie Ann Grosscrutz Junior Ballet Scholarship, awarded by Anita Young from The Royal Ballet School and The Robert & Elizabeth Albert full time scholarship to the Australian Ballet School, awarded by Lynette Wills. Talia has also been awarded the Gold Coast Eisteddfods Most Outstanding Classical Ballerina (snr. division at only 13yrs of age), Most Promising Ballerina at the Brisbane Eisteddfod and consecutive Sydney Eisteddfod Classical Championships. At the 2015 RAD Jacqueline Morland Awards Talia receivied joint Pre Senior winner.
Interanationally in 2015 Talia obtained a finialist spot in the Supreme A section of The AHA Awards and a top 12 place at YAGP New York. At these coverted international competitions Talia was awared several Summer School Scholarships including The Australian Ballet, The English National Ballet, The American Ballet Theatre, and The Houston Ballet School.
In 2016 Talia looks forward to a busy dance year including the YAGP New York finals, and sitting her RAD Adv. 2 & Solo Seal levels. She has also been cast as Dorothy in the BCYB production of Wizard of Oz.
