Summer Studio Looks – What you need to know this season

As temperatures are rising and we are starting to tan, it’s high time you think about your summer looks and how you’ll stand out from the crowd, particularly in the studio.
I’ve just spent five weeks in Europe, and it’s become very obvious that this season is all about light blues, whites, lace, interesting neck lines and cut-out backs. Pops of color like tangerine and tea rose are popular, too, with feminine Spanish influences and mesh inserts in fashion. Printed and floral pants and shorts are also looking hot this summer.
Here are some easy ways to freshen up your summer studio look:
Floral and “Summery”
Capezio has you covered with gorgeous new floral leotards, bra tops, shorts and pants that are feminine and fresh for summer. The Peek-a-Boo Bra Top is sweet and charming in Water Color Potpourri, or go for something in a bright summer color like the Cutout Back Tank in Midori Green or Cherry Pink. Match a tank or bra top with the new Short and Sweet Shorts from the Betsey Johnson collection, which are darling in Classic Rosebud pattern.
The new Wrap Leotard in Water Color Potpourri is my personal favorite this season. The light floral pattern is just so pretty, and the sheer cap sleeves and waist with wrap belt add flair.
Fun neck lines and backs
Dynamic neck lines or cut-out backs can add some drama to your look, and in summer it can be nice to have a little air space to help your skin breathe in the heat. The elegant Diamond Sweetheart Bra Top features a striking laser-cut diamond lattice panel on the back, and the Diamond Strappy Back Mock Halter Leotard teams the same stunning lattice with a spray of spaghetti straps, creating a halter-style back.
Or the new Gramercy High Neck Leotard from the Bradon X Capezio collection, which has both a stylish neckline and interesting cut-out back, is sure to turn heads.
Lace is still in fashion, as proven by Broadway star Bebe Neuwirth, who donned a gorgeous, long champagne pink lace gown at the 2016 Tony Awards just a few weekends ago. Who doesn’t love lace? It’s so dainty and elegant.
The new Dream About Flying Leotard features a v-neck front with pink lace overlay, and a mock racer back with scalloped lace keyhole. Just as graceful, the Dream Catcher Bra Top features the same light lace with cross straps on the back.
Capezio’s Diamond Lattice collection of leotards, shorts and bra tops are a modern take on lace, with laser-cut lattice. The Diamond High Waisted Shorts offer some added style to the typical dance short, and the Aloe Green or Seafoam colors are fresh and bright for the summer months.
In shop windows all across Paris, the look seems to be white, light blue and denim. These calming tones are clean and bright for summer, and they remind us of the ocean and a fresh summer breeze. A baby blue leotard can be partnered with some denim shorts to wear to and from the studio. Throw over a white unbuttoned shirt to complete the breezy look. The eye-catching Diamond Halter Leotard comes in a tranquil Seafoam, perfect for the season. This leotard is not only blue but also boasts a unique neckline and pretty lattice cut-outs. And the new V-Neck Leotard and Corselette Leotard both come in a fresh Pacific Ocean tone with sheer mesh detail that’s breathable and light.
