Nude Tights For Everyone

  • April 26, 2017

Seeing diversity in dance and on the runway over the last few years has been a step in the right direction. Some brands are acknowledging more diversity in different ways, starting with the expansion of their nude shades. The color “nude” has always just been a one-size-fits-all situation, only ranging from beige to taupe. Capezio, a company synonymous with forward-thinking and innovation, is now offering nude for everyone. With the addition of five new shades, Chestnut, Maple, Porcelain, Shortbread and Toasted Almond, the Capezio Ultra Soft tights collection just got better.

I’m sure many of us would love to wear our bare legs during dance class but there are standards and requirements we must meet, right? We’ve all been there, hunting for last minute tight hacks online so we can look our best at a performance. These hacks include using spray paint, fabric paint, liquid foundations and even tea to color match tights. Finding shades that match your skin tones for competitions, classes and everyday wear finally doesn’t have to feel like a scavenger hunt or an arts and crafts project!

Expanding to a wider range of shades will focus on giving access to what suits you best. This is pretty exciting, especially for any dancer, ice skater or gymnast who may have had an issue in the past finding the right tone. Capezio understands that dancers come in all variations and this Ultra Soft collection reflects that beautifully. Having a “nude” in a shade similar to your own can also elongate your leg line, which is fundamental when you’re dancing.

Capezio is joining the very few companies making this move, including Christian Louboutin with their Nude Collection of heels and flats as well as U.K. lingerie brand Ade Hassan. As the world around us continues to change, so will the fashion industry. And while some companies may want to ignore that fact, Capezio is always on trend.

Here are some behind-the-scenes shots of the Capezio Ultra Soft campaign.
