Yes, we all love summer and are sad to see it come to an end. But there’s some serious excitement about returning to school and dance in the fall! For one, it means back-to-school shopping! Here are some ways you can be sure to arrive back to dance in style, and to start your new year on a fresh, inspired note.

Bow + Arrow leotardIf your studio has a dress code, this classic V-Neck Pinch Front Leotard with Belt is bound to come in the color you need. There’s also the comfortable Camisole Leotard with Adjustable Straps, which comes in a rainbow of colors. Both are available in child and adult sizes and have a classical, simple look that your ballet teachers will adore.

Sometimes style is best in subtlety. Check out Capezio’s Strikingly Strappy Leotard with its fun, tropical patterned straps, or the Bow + Arrow Leotard with its way fun neckline! Both leotards would look great and fashionable paired with the Wrap Star Skirt, which mixes classic black-and-white stripes with delicate, feminine roses.

No one wants to start off the new dance year with stretched out, ripped tights. (And your teachers don’t want to see that either.) Make sure you stock up on a few pairs of your favorite tights before classes begin.

For your jazz or contemporary classes, this Strappy Halter Camisole is a must-have with its variety of colors and unique strappy back. Wear it with any one of the Boys Cut Low Rise Shorts, and you’ll be ready to take on the fiercest combination!

Strikingly Strappy Leotard with Wrap Star SkirtCapezio has launched an exciting new line of products in partnership with Dear Kate, and the collection’s leotards and briefs offer female dancers extra protection and security during that “time of the month”. These items are a great addition to your dance drawer!

And don’t forget the shoes! There’s a chance your feet grew over the summer, or maybe your shoes got a lot of wear and tear during intensives or workshops. Either way, it’s always great to head back to dance with clean, new shoes.

Capezio’s Canvas Juliet or Leather Juliet Ballet Slipper will make you feel like Juliet with its seamless line and comfortable, soft-moisture absorbent lining. American Ballet Theatre Soloist Skylar Brandt even says, “I feel as though I’m wearing a bedroom slipper!”

The Freeform Jazz Shoe is the alternative to other “bunchy”-looking jazz shoes out there. This shoe is made of soft, durable leather with a power-mesh arch. Its special PowerPointe Construction® and seamless arch provide a smooth, wrinkle-free fit. And it comes in black or caramel color, too!

Capezio TapsonicThere’s no better way to feel the most stylish than with the most revolutionary products! You’ll definitely want to try the Capezio Tapsonic tap shoe. The shoe has been well-developed to create awesome sound, and it looks so sleek and stylish, too!

For the ultimate chic look, Capezio’s Rebel Boot allows you to rock the rocker look from street to studio. Comfortable enough to dance in and stylish enough to pair with a cute dress, this boot is flexible, durable and versatile. It’s totally a must-have!

Don’t forget to stock up on new hair accessories for the fall. Bunheads has all you need in one place – Hairpins, Hair Nets, Hair Elastics, a Bun Builder™, Snap Clips and more.

Hanami DuffleAnd for all this new loot, why not get a great new dance bag? The Hanami Duffle comes in sweet pink and includes convenient pockets and an external water bottle pocket – perfect for easy access during class! And fashion designer extraordinaire Betsey Johnson brings you the Tote to Gloat Tote Bag for a unique printed canvas tote.

While these products will help you enter the new dance year feeling fashionable, don’t forget to start off the year with a positive mindset, too. Set goals, jot down your corrections throughout the year, practice on your own time, get good sleep and eat well. You’re about to have a great year ahead!
