13th Annual Fall for Dance Festival hits NYC

New York City Center’s popular Fall for Dance Festival is back this autumn with a buffet of world-renowned companies and artists represented and numerous world premieres to boot.

Set for September 26 – October 8, 2016, Fall for Dance Festival tickets are only $15 per show. STREB Extreme Action, Dada Masilo/The Dance Factory, and Wayne McGregor will present world premieres, with McGregor’s featuring ballet stars Alessandra Ferri and Herman Cornejo.

U.S. premieres include: Hong Kong Ballet with Jorma Elo’s Shape of Glow; Australia’s Bangarra Dance Theatre with Stephen Page and Djakapurra Munyarryun’s Spirit; Wendy Whelan and Edward Watson with Arthur Pita’s The Ballad of Mack and Ginny; Nederlands Dans Theater with Marco Goecke’s Woke up Blind; Cloud Gate 2 with Cheng Tsung-Lung’s Beckoning; and Royal Ballet Flanders with Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s Fall.

Other programs will see performances by American Ballet Theatre, Farruquito, Richard Alston Dance Company, Aszure Barton & Artists, Grupo Corpo, CCN de la Rochelle, Ayodele Casel, Jessica Lang Dance, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Alina Cojocaru, The Sarasota Ballet and Shantala Shivalingappa.
